Local Fall Activities That Are Good For The Soul

So, the first day of Fall is this week, the big knits and pumpkin spice lattes have already started to make their come back. It is the beginning of a bitter sweet shift in not only the season but in mentality. Are you in need of a little something, something to make your soul shine? Instead of coming home and binge watching your favorite TV show (the new season of Cable Girls is out BTW), why not participate in an activity that will make you feel good? We have put together a list of local fall activities that you MUST/Should check out.

Stress relief in the best way possible. The great thing about Max's is it doesn't matter what the weather is like because you can hit balls inside or outside and if you're anything like me, you packed your summer so full that you missed all things golf - so now is our time to shine. Bonus, it's totally inexpensive so you can go as many times as you like.

A half hour drive but worth it to hangout in charming little Stratford to celebrate their 177 annual fair. Four days of great fun, food, rides, art, crafts and lots of memories. How can you resist? Stratford Rotary Complex, September 20 - 23 - see you there! We will be the ones indulging in all things apple :)

While you're at it, you can also check out the final few weeks of the Stratford Festival!

If you haven't been here yet despite living so close, shame on you! The farmers market is a huge and magical place, filled with so many vendors and activities that it is difficult to do it all in a day. Bring the kids for carriage rides, the fun house and the animals - teach them about fresh produce and farming or hey, just come for the awesome Instagram pictures ;)

Horseback riding is a ton of fun and what a great way to see our local trails that you've been missing out on while taking in all those warm fall colours. Conestogo allows you to choose from multiple different packages to pick the length of your journey so you can make it a short family affair or a longer trek for the romantics or nature lovers.

What are your go to Fall activities to kick off the new season?
