Our annual tradition of spicing up your holiday season is back! While 2020 has made it more challenging to see folks and collaborate in person, it doesn't mean you can't have a good time a celebrate with your work pals. We are sharing some of our favourite virtual holiday party themes. Check it out!
DAY ONE: SELFISH SANTA
Unlike Secret Santa, Selfish Santa is all about YOU. Everyone takes the allocated Secret Santa budget and spends it on themselves, then shares their new purchase on the team call. Why? Because 2020 is HARD and you deserve to treat yourself. DAY TWO: UGLY SWEATER
A classic and quite frankly, necessary part of the holidays. Dust off those old Holiday outfits and show them off on your team meeting.
DAY THREE: FESTIVE COCKTAIL MAKING
Again, 2020... need we say more? Find some fun cocktail recipes to make together and enjoy a virtual happy hour.
DAY 4: HOLIDAY BAKE-OFF
Show off your baking skills, share your favourite holiday recipes and enjoy a friendly competition with your colleagues.
DAY FIVE: WEAR YOUR LIGHTS
Let's get weird! Decorate yourself in lights and shine like the star you are.
DAY SIX: FAVOURITE DECORATION SHOW + TELL
We all have that weird, quirky decoration that has a great story behind it. Show it off!
DAY 7: TRIGGER WORD DRINKING GAME
Though we will miss drinking too much at the annual holiday party, it will be nice to not have to Uber home this year. Set holiday themed trigger words for your team - things like tree, Christmas, snowman, ornament. If you catch someone saying it, call them out and make them drink!
DAY 8: HOLIDAY MOVIE WATCH PARTY
Pick a holiday movie, make some good snacks, get cozy, and spend the afternoon streaming a movie with your team.
DAY 9: GRISWOLD LIGHT CONTEST
You untangled lights for hours and stood on a ladder in the freezing cold, you might as well have a friendly competition and show off all your hard work with your holiday light display.
DAY 10: HOLIDAY SING-ALONG
There is always that one person on the team who loves to belt it out and caroling is probably not covid-friendly, so join them in a few songs virtually.
DAY 11: BOB ROSS PARTY
Host a holiday paint party! Find an instructional guide and create a little holiday magic for your home or to gift to someone else.
DAY 12: HOLIDAY LUNCH
Missing your favourite local lunch spot? Have everyone order from your regular spot and enjoy your meal on a call together.
